Our 4th graders are taking book reports to a whole new level! They’re bringing their favorite stories to life in the most creative ways—building 3D masterpieces packed with info & even designing custom Crocs inspired by their books! Who knew reading could be this fun!

In March, Candlebrook Cubs brought the heat for our March Book Madness assembly! After weeks of reading, voting, and some seriously tough matchups, our Elite Eight hit the “court” for one final showdown. Teachers and staff battled it out on the court, representing each book as titles were eliminated round by round based on student votes!  In a nail-biting finish, Don’t Trust Fish sank the game-winning basket and swam away with the championship title!  The perfect way to wrap up an awesome month of reading—and send us dribbling straight into Spring Break!

Students in the Candlebrook Art Studio have been leveling up their creativity, this time with power tools! Our Cubs have been learning how to use the ChompSaw, a kid-safe tool for cutting cardboard, paper, and foam & they are absolutely thrilled to be using “real” tools. Crafting just got a whole lot cooler!
