About Mrs. Eckroth

Hello and welcome!  This will be my 7th year teaching at Candlebrook.  I taught kindergarten for 5 years and this is my second year as our school’s librarian.  I grew up in Pottstown, PA (right down 422).  I graduated from Syracuse University in 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education.  During my time at Syracuse I was a member of the women's lacrosse team, and have even played semi-professionally!  I graduated from the Reading Specialist Graduate Program at Cabrini University in May 2021 and obtained my library certification recently as well.  

My husband and I have been married for two years and have a Golden doodle named Blue, a beautiful daughter named Olivia and another baby girl on the way.  I am very close to our families and spend a lot of time with them on the weekends.  I love cheering on our Philly sports teams and looking for the best pizza locally.  During the summer you will find me somewhere near the water! 

In library we will read, read, read…but also explore different genres and the world of STE(A)M.
